Norwegian Wood Travel News Letter October 2009!

Dear All,

Well the exciting news is that we have now had snow! Yes our first sprinkling arrived in the resorts in the last days of September and first couple of days of October. This week has seen a massive dump with over 2 feet falling in certain areas. An early start notoriously means a great snow packed season, and the reason early and late season holidays are so popular in Norway.

Our 5% discount on all 6-day passes is still running until October 19th, so don’t miss out on that saving. Our waiving of credit card charges also is available on all bookings taken before October 19th 2009. After this date there will be a 1.9% charge.

For those of you that have visited us at the ski shows in years gone by, we wanted to let you all know we won’t be present at this years shows. The reason for this, is we feel the shows have in the last 2-3 years become more retail events for those selling clothing and equipment. We feel more and more of you are now using websites and going online to book holidays. For this reason we are using our resources for online advertising, and making our website more and more detailed, with everything anyone would need to know about skiing and boarding in Norway.

If any of you, still want to talk to us about anything, we are more than happy to discuss things on the telephone with you, and give you the information we would give out at the shows.

As the recession in the UK seems to be easing, our bookings are coming in thick and fast. If your group is looking to travel February half term, then please email or get on the phone to us as soon as possible, as we are already struggling to get peoples first choice of accommodation and flights. We predict this week will be sold out in the very near future. Remember for only £200pp deposit you can book your holiday. This will also be the case for Christmas, New Year and Easter very soon, so please don’t be disappointed, get in touch with us so we can help you get this booked up.

Norway is unlike the majority of ski areas throughout the World, in that it only builds enough beds to match the lift capacity in each resort, the beauty of this is non-existent lift queues and quiet slopes. The downside of course it the resort sells out faster.

We have doubled our office staff for the next few weeks, so we can deal with all bookings and enquiries promptly, however if for any reason you have contacted us and not received your quote, please contact us again. As with all technology, sometimes emails go astray!

Early bird bookings! We are already taking bookings for winter season 2010/2011. For great prices and packages for the whole season contact us with your details and requirements. Spreading the cost over more than a year may also be of financial benefit to you and your group in todays climate. Contact us today!

Also don’t forget to visit our website www.visitsantanorway.com or pass the details on to anyone you feel may be interested for 2009 and 2010 bookings!

www.norwaysummer.com will be updated in the next couple of months, on this site you will find information on our new summer activity Hotel, with a tailor made program, with activities including mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, white water rafting, quad biking and much, much more!

We look forward to seeing some of you in Norway very soon,

Best Regards,

Brent, Sheila, Vicki, Sally, Mark, Dougie and the NWT team.
