SKEIKAMPEN:

Part of the Lillehammer valley Skeikampen is located in a beautiful setting.
Skeikampen is one of Norway's oldest ski areas, people have been coming here to ski for over 100 years. This area is especially suited for beginners, and is excellent for those with young children. It is one of Norway's most snowsure areas.
The children have their own playland here, and ski school run activities and games every day. among the attractions are a snowy Adventureland, sledding hill and ice skating rink (floodlit at night.)


Beginners: (5/5)

Skeikampen is perfect for beginners, with beautiful accommodation ski in/ski out, it is a well laid out resort, and definitely worth a visit if it is your first ever ski holiday. All amenities are within a stones throw of your accommodation, including, ski school, sports shops, places to eat and drink. It can be a very quiet resort at times, which means you can learn in your own time and space, without worrying too much. A new chairlift system installed for last season, means less time on the drag lifts! The standard of the ski school is very high, again with English being spoken fluently.

Intermediates: (3/5)

Skeikampen offers a fair selection of runs for intermediates, and is a good resort to learn the basics of powder skiing/boarding. Skeikampen has beautiful scenery and a snow record to be proud of. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful resort, where taking in the fresh air and views is more important than a huge variety of long runs and crazy afterski, then this is a resort for you. However, if you are looking for more you may find this resort limiting for you.

Advanced: (2/5)

With good off-piste opportunities, after heavy snow, Skeikampen can keep you entertained for a few days, it has a mini terrain park. However the advanced amongst may find the variety limited after a day or two.


Families: (4/5)

The overall layout of the resort is perfect for families especially those with very young children, all facilities and amenities are within 100m of your accommodation. With a badger land, arches and figures small children find their first time on snow a fun and safe experience. The resort arranges many childrens activities, it is a very friendly resort, and offers a good atmosphere to those experiencing the winter holiday experience for the first time.


Snowboarders: (2/5)

With good off-piste opportunities, after heavy snow, Skeikampen can keep you entertained for a few days, it has a mini terrain park. However the advanced amongst may find the variety limited after a day or two.

Cross Country: (5/5)

Cross-country in Skeikampen is something really special, it offers some beautiful prepared cross-country trails, which you can step into from your hotel or cabin, linking up to over 600km of trails at neighbouring Kvitfjell.
