Welcome to Gålå Høgfjellshotell, where people and mountains meet in a truly norwegian atmosphere, and where hospitality is rooted in good, old-fashioned Lillehammer Valley culture.


Gålå Høgfjellshotell has 42 rooms, all pleasantly furnished in keeping with Norwegian tradition. All rooms have satellite TV, radio, telephone and a bathroom with a bath or shower and toilet. All bathrooms have underfloor heating, which is wonderful underfoot after an invigorating shower or bath to ease aching muscles.The single rooms have a rocking chair and a desk. There are several rooms that can be used as family rooms. There is a door between one room with a double bed and another room with twin beds. The twin rooms have a desk and a folding bench, whilst the double rooms either have a rocking chair, desk and bath, or a desk and bathroom with shower.


Facilities: Outdoor heated swimming pool, solarium, fitness room, sauna, bar, lounge and childrens playroom.



Gålå Cabins:

These are cosy 50 m2 cabins that are ideal for a relaxing holiday. The cabins have two bedrooms and a loft-room, and are designed for up to six people in single beds/bunks. If you use the loft-room to its full extent, a cabin can accommodate eight people.

All cabins have a bathroom with shower and a kitchen with cooker, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. They also have satellite TV, a stove, a drying cupboard and underfloor heating in the bathroom and hallway. The Gålå cabins are semi-detached, and are just a short walk away from the hotel.

Gålå Lid:

The largest cabins at Gålå are 87 m2 in size, and are detached cabins of high standard with ample facilities for eight people. The cabins are within walking distance of the hotel and are particularly suited to families or groups of friends. The cabins have four bedrooms: two with double beds and two with bunk beds at each end of the cabins. In addition there is a sauna and two toilets/bathrooms with showers. The cabins are very well equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooker, microwave, satellite TV, stove, telephone, drying cupboard and underfloor heating in the hallway and bathrooms. Each cabin has its own terrace, storeroom for sports equipment and parking space.

Gålå Fjellgrend:

The cabins at Gålå Fjellgrend are situated in beautiful mountain surroundings, and enjoy views of Valsfjell. Best of all, the cabins are right at the heart of Gålå's activities both in summer and winter.

The cabins consist of two semi-detached units of 61 m2, which have two bedrooms sleeping a total of four people. The sofa-bed in the living room sleeps a further two people. The perfect "cocoon" for one or two couples or a small family.

The cabins have a bathroom, shower and toilet, with underfloor heating in the bathroom and hall. The kitchen has a dishwasher, cooker with oven, microwave, fridge and freezer. In the living room and in one of the bedrooms there are satellite TVs with a radio.
